We were standing atop the 80-foot-high lookout tower at myakka river state park, and noticed storm clouds moving in from every direction. this was the most dramatic - the solid wall of hard rain with a rainbow at the edge.

i watched the rain coming at us - making powerline poles disappear every few seconds. it was pounding on top of us before we could get to the bottom of the tower.
a storm approaching santa fe. it felt very wizard-of-oz that day... the air was electric... like right before a big snow, or in the eye of a hurricane.

bobbie lou stood stock-still for me... she poses well. but i guess most 30-year-old burro's don't spend a lot of time running in circles.
Sunset in the piney flats on a backroad somewhere in central Florida
I love living on a lake. This day we paddled out at dawn, and again at sunset. The sunset itself was gorgeous, but I also loved how it shaded the water as well.
